Interesting month this month. A few amazing days away in Cornwall and I came back with a virus that knocked me out for a couple of weeks. But now – I’ve fulfilled one of my ambitions with Happy Handbag (besides going to THE Garden Party tomorrow!) – that of trialling HH’s in a Police Station. Thanks to the efforts of my friend Be, a large, central Police Station in Gloucestershire has agreed to take HH’s and she is taking them 8 smallish bags (still filled with the basics – toothpaste/brush; deodorant shampoo/conditioner; sanitary wear, shower gel plus some other, small items). I really don’t know how this will go – but at least I will have tried. On the other hand if it is successful……
But some more good news is that Tesco Extra Swindon have contacted me about being a Collection Point – we are meeting up next month to discuss!
The Lamb in Mangotsfield continue to act as a collection point for Happy Handbag – thank you The Lamb, and Big Yellow Self Storage in Eastern Avenue continue to support us. As you know – I don’t think I could have continued without the support of Big Yellow, Gloucester, and they are so easy for me to get to – just hop on to the M5 North at the Thornbury/Leyhill Junction, off the the first Gloucester exit (Quedgeley) and then along the the Gloucester inner ring road. So accessible for those of use just north of Bristol – so if you ever need storage and want to support HH……
And, finally, a huge thanks to Liz who, yesterday, brought about 15 packs of disposable nappies plus other stuff like tampons etc. Nappies plus about 6 bags/sacks of children’s clothing will go to Family Haven in Gloucester this week…
As always – thanks to all who have contributed….
