Yes, this is a funny title isn’t it….. Well on Sunday 17th May my 13 year old granddaughter, with the help of 2 of her friends, set up a lemonade station, selling lemonade to raise funds, and profile of Happy Handbag. Her village was having an Open Garden day and she thought it was a good opportunity to promote ‘what nana does’… Well, it was a huge success and they raised enough money to fill about 15 Happy Handbags with toiletries!! She lives in a tiny village in the Cotswolds and we had no idea the response she would get. So, to anyone who bought a lemonade and stopped to listen to what she had to say ‘thank you’. She was so pleased that her efforts were rewarded and more people have now heard about Happy Handbag. N.B. she first started promoting and supporting Happy Handbag when she was 6 years old, organising and selling some of her toys in the school playground after school one day (she had gained permission to do this by asking the school governors if she could!!). On this occasion she filled 10 little handbags for children containing 2 pocket money toys, shampoo/conditioner and bubble bath, toothpaste/brush………….
